CanGOLF is a vibrant restaurant, sports bar, and golf simulator venue, offering a mix of arcade-style games, mouth-watering food, a scenic patio, and an upper-level event space. When we first partnered with CanGOLF, they faced a few key challenges: limited brand awareness, inconsistent marketing, and a sales-heavy approach that didn’t fully resonate with their target audience.

The Challenge: Simplifying Brand Identity and Boosting Local Appeal

Initially, CanGOLF was operating under two different brands for the restaurant and golf simulator bar, which created confusion. Our first step was to unify everything under the single brand, CanGOLF, creating a streamlined identity that’s easy to recognize and resonate with.

We also recognized that CanGOLF needed a website that was not only user-friendly but also optimized for search engines and easy to manage. The original WordPress site was difficult to navigate and lacked flexibility, so we redesigned it on Duda, a CMS we trust for its customizability and ease of use. With Duda, we could provide a more intuitive, visually appealing, and SEO-optimized site to increase local search traffic and improve online discoverability. The new site includes a blog and enhanced SEO features to attract and engage visitors.

The Strategy: Creating a Community-Centered Brand Experience

We wanted to make CanGOLF feel like a welcoming, community-focused brand. To accomplish this, we shifted the social media approach to highlight the fun, local, and approachable personality of CanGOLF. We used a “show, don’t tell” strategy by sharing personality-driven reels, trending videos, and visual storytelling that showcase the venue and everything it has to offer.

  • Email Marketing via Klaviyo: We integrated email marketing with a series of automated flows tailored to various audience segments—avid golfers, out-of-town visitors, and local patrons—to provide relevant information without overloading inboxes. This segmented approach allows CanGOLF to keep communication relevant and personalized.

The Impact: Enhanced Brand Recognition and Strong Engagement

Our visual approach has made a big impact. We carefully curated the content to tell CanGOLF’s story in a visually compelling way, showcasing events like country nights and the locals’ Christmas party, which have become standout successes. Our visual storytelling also extended to Instagram, where our “Golfing Addict Play SimGolf” series and styled photo shoots have been popular among CanGOLF’s followers.
